# Stoping Model execution

Is there a way to stop the execution of the model while its running. I have tried pressing the STOP icon, unlocking but it wouldnt work.

Azher, Sorry sometimes I get this too, the stop button should be more immediate/responsive in the 1.4 release, as per QC\_PHX\_12373. You could always kill the NLME process from the task manager, Simon.
