AD0200: ADaM/dataset variable type mismatch

Hi everyone,

I am getting the following error “AD0200: ADaM/dataset variable type mismatch” for all ADaM datasets when using latest P21E engine and ADaM IG 1.3.

These errors were not present in earlier validations and are also not present in ADaM IG 1.2 is selected.

Thank you,

Tiberius

This is a new rule in ADaMIG 1.3 and 2508.0 engine. The rule produces false-positive messages for all non-standard ADaM variables. This was the algorithm limitation with acknowledgement in the rule Description.

New 2508.1 engine will be released by the end of the year with updated version of AD0200 rule which ignores custom ADaM variables.

Ok, but why am I getting this error for TRTP, TRTPN, TRTA and TRTAN? These are not non-standard ADaM variables.

Will the new rule also ignore variables present in the SDTM IG? These are not custom ADaM variables and are usually kept for traceability or as needed for analysis.

Good point!

OCCDS specs from CDISC do not include these variables and there is not clear CDISC guidance how to use variables from BDS specs in OCCDS.

It looks like P21 specs for OCCDS include additional CORE variables from ADSL like TRT#P, TRT#A, etc., but do not have more applicable treatment variables like TRTP, TRTA, etc. from BDS specs. So, P21 validator considers TRTP, TRTA in ADCM as non-standard ADaM variables.

I’ll talk to our ADaM lead to see how quick we can solve this issue.

In new 2508.1 engine, you will not see false-positive issues about TRTA, TRTP, etc. variables in OCCDS. I am not 100% sure about false-negative issues.
