Hello, I recently attended the 3 day NLME course in Iselin, NJ. Just wanted to say that it was great, Thanks, Emily! Right now I am trying to use NLME to develop a poppk model. As part of the process, I started trying a multitude of base models with different etas and eta combinations on various model parameters. I have soon realized that keeping track of all these models and of the reasons of rejecting or continuing to explore them can easily get out of hand. I am currently using an excel spreadsheet where I basically paste all the OFVs, parameter estimates, my comments, etas etc and keep them in a tabulated summary. This approach is working, however it is pretty time consuming. I was wondering if you could suggest a better way to do this. I have spoken to a few NONMEM people and I was told that they use Xpose. Is this something I could use with NLME? Thanks!
Dora, The Phoenix ‘vision’ is that by naming the models descriptively in the workflow and using the additional descriptor fields in the included Model Comparer Tool then tracking and comparing different models should be quite simple without the need to export the data elsewhere. Have you used this ? Is there something missing from that functionality we should look to incorporate to help you? If you want to see an illustration I have just inserted an example Model Comparer in another thread; Certara | Drug Development Solutions Simon. PS Some notable enhancements to NLME were implemented in 6.2 which was released by our QA group yesterday (31 March) and will be on our support site to download Monday/Tuesday, details to come very soon… watch the General Discussions area; Certara | Drug Development Solutions
