What’s the current timeframe for TS3 release? Our user community here has moved on to some high powered hardware for other reasons and we were sad to see Trial Simulator 2 can’t run in it. Obviously, we hope TS3 will run in a modern environment. Thanks, Jeb Adams PKDM IS Liaison Amgen, Inc.
Dear Jeb, The official certification of TS2 on Windows 7 platform is on our roadmap and we are currently assessing the release date. As soon as we have a concrete release date for this certification I will post it here. I should have this information in about a week. Please note that we continue to plan to release Trial Simulator on the Phoenix platform (TS3) sometime next year. Could you provide me specifics about what the new 'high powered hardware ’ is? You can write to me directly at ana.henry@certara.com with this information. Thank you, Ana Henry Pharsight Desktop Product Manager
We are planning a maintenance release of Trial Simulator V2.2.2 this summer. It will not include any updates to functionality but it will use the GNU fortran compiler and be certified to run on Windows 7, English and Japanese. The release of Phoenix TS3 is planned for 2012. Will v 2.2.2 run in (and be optimized for) a 64-bit gfortran compiler? Thanks for the news.
We are still unsure at the moment about support for 64-bit. TS2 uses DAO and we are investigating if it could run in 64-bit.
Any more details on the 2.2.2 release?
Hello, We are currently working on the release of TS2.2.2. This release will support Windows 7 32-bit. We have not been able to make it work correctly in 64-bit and for now will proceed with 32-bit. We are also changing so it can also use the compiler GNU. The schedule release is September. Thanks, Ana
Update to this topic: TS 2.2.2 has been released (30 Dec 2011). If you are a current user you can download this version from the Pharsight Support Site. Otherwise, please contact sales@pharsight.com. This release of Pharsight ® Trial Simulatorâ„¢ version 2.2.2 (TS 2.2.2) is intended to be used with 32 bit Windows 7 SP1 on English or Kanji (Japanese) environments. It provides the option to use GNU Fortran version 4.5.2 or Intel Fortran 12.1 (with Visual Studio.NET 2008) as the back-end compiler. The GNU Fortran compiler is redistributed with TS2.2.2. At time of installation the user will be given the option to select the compiler of choice. Only the supported versions of the compilers listed above should be used. Trial Simulator 2.2.2 is now compatible with Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010. Trial Simulator 2.2.2 is compatible with S-Plus 6.2 Prime (distributed with TS2.2.2) or with S-Plus 8.2. Trial Simulator 2.2.2 is a maintenance product version to provide compatibility with Windows 7 SP1 32-bit operating system version on English and Kanji (Japanese) as well as better support for back-end compilers. No design changes, enhancements, or fixes of the functionality have been done.
