xenograft tumor growth/kill modeling

I am a bignner level user modeling tumor growth and kill in xenograft mice. The simplest differential equations are dT/dt = KngT for exponential growth and dT/dt = KngT(1-T/Tss).

T: Tumor size; Kng: net growth rate; Tss: maximum tumor sustainable tumor size.

My questions are : how to get initial estimate for parameters, Kng and Tss.

Mice were euthernized before tumor growth reachs pleatau, so no empirial data of Tss.

if your initial estimate is within an order magnitude then you should be OK, if you think you have OK values for everything else, try using the inital estimate tool/tab to ‘dial’ them in. Practically speaking i am guessing on a mouse a tumour volume of 2 cubic cm might a reasoanble max size to start with?
