Beware of summer time switch

Hi all! Just read Phoenix Tip 1 to get relative times from dates/times. If your data originate from a country where summer time / daylight saving time is in force, beware! The transformation seems not be able to handle timezones/offsets and switching dates/times. For an explanation see also here… If the first sample was harvested 2010-03-27 08:00 CET = 2010-03-27 07:00 +01:00 and you sampled 24 hours later (09:00 local due to the switch) 2010-03-28 09:00 CEST = 2010-03-28 07 +02:00 you will get a time difference of 25 hours - unless you converted all dates/times to UTC outside PHX previously.

Thank you Helmut for this topic. I didn’t know. Helen
