How can you exclude data point(s) from the worksheet for re-modeling data without actually deleting the entered data from the worksheet? Thanks.
Hi Neil, You will need to insert a Data > Filter Worksheet before your analysis. With a filter you can either select to Exclude by criteria using Built-in or user Selection (exclude) Personally I would suggest do this by copying the whole workflow so you have both your full dataset analysis and your alternative analysis with excluded points or subjects. Remember you don’t need to delete the existing work flow just re-connect it to the results worksheet of your filter. Simon. I just wanted to add that from the UI of PHX, one cannot exclude data directly from the input dataset. As Simon indicated, you can use a data>filter to remove flagged rows or you can filter based on a criteria. This step will become part of the workflow and it can be tracked to the original dataset. In either case you will need to use the results of the filter as the input to the model. For example, to rerun a model with some exclusion you would first copy the model in the Object Browser and then change the input to the model to be the ‘filter’ dataset. If you are using the command line in Phoenix NLME you can insert a # as the first character in the data row and the data is ignored.
Also in Phoenix NLME models an optional input column can be MDV or missing dependent variable. This can be used as a flag to exclude questionable points. You can do some data management steps first to construct the desired MDV column. Samer
When using the ‘Filter’ worksheet function to exclude data points prior to further analysis, it would be useful to be able to exclude multiple non-contiguous data points in one pass (using the usual Windows CRT+click approach?) as is possible in earlier versions of WinNonlin.
Tony - if you are using the Selection (Exclude) screen for manual selections you will find that if you Edit after the first selection then your selections are cumulative. Nonetheless your comment is noted and is already recorded as QC_PHX5700 (also related 5701 and 5703) during internal testing for future consideration. Best regards, Simon.
