Phoenix's new licensing system with 8.5+ https://my.certara.net

Hopefully you have now all seen announcements about Phoenix 8.5, a key part of this new release is Certara moving away from the old Sentinel licensing system, so no more activation codes !
Phoenix 8.5 and later versions, as well as the remaining suite of Certara software will require each individual to have an account at Certara Admin (CAD) https://my.certara.net Anyone may (and should) self register with their company email address at https://my.certara.net/register
https://my.certara.net/login?returnPath=%2F
There are 3 levels of user;
Normal : who may be assigned a named license to the modules they require, i.e. a user of the software. If they have already been assigned a license they can see that, or request one, which will trigger a request to the admins below
Product Admin : can administer that product e.g. Phoenix license, we would suggest this might be granted to e.g. a department head
Global Admin : can administer any purchased product license, this might typically be an IT admin.
This central website will become the common sign in to all things Certara, Note that a ‘normal’ user, even without an active license, can access the various reference resources including Product Help and Manuals, the Gabrielsson and Weiner e-book, etc. and this will be the home of the new forum too
More details are available Certara Admin Help | Certara Help Center and there is a Webinar here Phoenix 8.5 License Management with Certara Cloud Administration | Certara Help Center

Well… (after clicking the verification link in the email):

Helmut., let me look into this - your account is a special one and I’ve not see this message before with any of the others I’ve onboarded!

thanks, Simon.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas break and Best Wishes for the New Year

In 2025 we look to migrate this forum to the new central Certara Admin Dashboard

As you can see the new forum is now up and in the next 2 months we will release Phoenix 8.6 which is notable in that we will deprecate some features;

PKS Plugin – Users of PKS need to migrate to integral before installing the Phoenix 8.6 release
AutoPilot – No active users currently. Existing projects can still be opened read-only.
Phoenix 32-bit Executable – 32-bit is no longer a market demand; legacy WNL 5 filetypes are 15 years old
ODBC Import – Outdated market standard for data migration that was no longer safe to use.

So if you have any concerns about needing to open a very old WNL 5.x analysis space then you may want to keep a copy of 8.5.2 available. thanks, Simon
