We are very pleased to announce the release of Pirana 25.7.1!
Pirana is a pharmacometrics (PMX) workbench solution that coordinates the use of multiple tools to add efficiency, organization, and quality to PMX workflows.
This release has several new features that represent significant advances in both practical and cutting-edge innovative capabilities:
-
NLME engine enhancement that reduces model run times by 30-60% on average with much larger gains possible depending on the problem
-
A new user interface to set up and execute automated machine learning model searches using our fast NLME engine and PML model language
-
Support for multi-objective optimization (MOO) machine learning searches – optimize model searches on more than one objective, and receive the set of models that capture trade-offs between competing objectives
-
A built in interface to Integral, allowing seamless bi-directional file transfer between Pirana and Integral
-
Enhanced virtual bioequivalence analysis capabilities to further expand the utility of the Pirana-Simcyp VBE module
-
And more!
Pirana allows pharmacometricians to work “mid-way” between a full GUI (Phoenix) and full command line (RsNLME) interface to access the flexibility of command line while benefiting from the built-in workflow organization capabilities in Pirana. Rshiny applications for key steps (e.g., model building, post-processing) allow the user to complete the task, but also return the command line R code, greatly assisting users who are learning R and need examples tailored to their specific problem.
