User-defined parameters in NCA

Hi all,

Is there a way to create user-defined parameters based upon standard output parameters in NCA?
For example, if I want to output relative bioavailability based on two AUCs and two dosing periods in a crossover study, I have profiled the data so that for a given subject, I have AUC and dose for each dosing period. Is there a way to use those to create a user-defined output parameter F that uses that information? Or do I just need to post process this outside of Winnonlin?

Hi Drew,

Yes there is a specific object under the “Computation Tools” menu to make this part of your workflow within Phoenix that was added in 8.1.This is demonstrated here; https://youtu.be/SoCNDwFGJ7U?t=609

And in the free course [114-FL] What is New in Phoenix WinNonlin 8.1

(the most recent version’s course is here;

Prior to 8.1 it was also pretty straightforward to do this with the existing data tools as discussed here;

Thanks. Quick follow up to this: if I want to also include the doses, so that F = AUC1/AUC2*dose1/dose2, can this also be done using the ratio tool? Also, how to map results back to main parameter pivoted output table?

You can carry all the required final parameters through the ratios tool, you should be able to use the doses too.
