When I ran the validation for the ADaM define file alone, the following two messages were returned:
Term/NCI Code mismatch in Codelist ‘PK Units of Measure (PC)’
NCI Code ‘C85494’ for Codelist ‘PK Units of Measure (PC)’ on Variable ‘PCSTRESU’ does not match NCI Code ‘C71620’ for Standard Codelist ‘Unit’ for Variable ‘PCSTRESU’
If I understand correctly, this issue occurs because, in the current ADaM v1.3, the codelist for ADNCA.PCSTRESU is still ‘UNIT’, while starting from SDTM v3.3, the codelist for PCSTRESU has been updated to ‘PKUNIT’. This mismatch leads to the validation messages above.
May I ask if this issue is expected to be addressed in a future version of ADaM?
This is 100% spot on. It’s a scenario where one foundational CDISC standards team did something, and the other foundational CDISC standards team has not caught up yet.
There is actually an open Jira ticket for this (reported by me) back in February 2025 for the ADNCA document (may require you to have a CDISC Atlassian / Jira account). As of today, it’s still open with no response or comments yet.
For now, you can explain why this issue is firing given the information quoted above. I hope this helps!
