I am working with the Phoenix data base features so that I can avoid using Excel. I want to present the NCA determined PK paramaters in a Table as shown in the attached Excel file. It involves row statistics for the PK paramates. I am thinking I am trying to do something that cannot be done, but if it can be done be done then please could you advise accordingly. I can do it using coulmin statistics. THANKS, Angus tel 301-869-1009 . [file name=EXAMPLE_DATA_STRUCTURE.xls size=17408]Certara | Drug Development Solutions

Yes Angus it’s possible using “Final Parameters” worksheet as your starting point; (as opposed to the “Final Parameters pivotted” that is most often used, since you can easily select the parameters of interest in the table itself) Secondly you’ll need to filter out the parameters you are interested in; and lastly create your table. Simon.
Simon: Thanks. I was getting error messsages telling me that you had to use only one paramater for this row presentation. I will try your suggestion. Angus
Simon: I find the word filter confusing. Sometimes as a chemist you are filtering off a substance from a a liquid (usually water) . Sometimes you are interested in the solid filtered off. from the point of view of removing it and discarding it. So you are interested in the filtrate the solution. So in Phoenix when you filter a paramater are you removing it from consideration (and focusing on the remaining paramaters) or in fact are you retaining it for further consideration. Now I am thinking that when you filter a paramater then you are selecting it for retention and further consideration. Angus
Actually both the options are possible.
- because a built in filter could be written as e.g. EXCLUDE route <> “IV” in which case the IV date would be in RESULTS sheet, (the default output) and the remaining routes would be in the “Filtered” sheet. It is completely permissible and in fact intended that the data found in filtered sheet can be used for further data operations/analyses downstream.
or alternatively you could
- have a filter as written as e.g. EXCLUDE route = “IV” in which case the IV date would be in “Filtered” sheet, and the remaining routes would be in the RESULTS sheet

- a user can also use INCLUDE or write CUSTOM filters, but the first two are generally easier, but in your case I would use something like;
parameter=‘Cmax’ or parameter=‘Tmax’ or parameter=‘AUClast’ or parameter=‘AUCINF_pred’ or parameter=‘HL_Lambda_Z’
