Hi! is there any possibility to save Models (like user-models in WNL)? If I want to use a model in another project the only way i found out was opening both projects and copypasting between them. Boring, if these projects are large…
Helmut, Is there a reason you wouldn’t use the template function for the individual model (or even the whole workflow?) Right click on the object or workflow in the Object Browser and choose the Export option, the drop down to select WNLT as the format; To re-use in another project simply File> Import and it will be dropped into the workspace. Remember if you are exporting whole workflows it is highly recommended to first right-click in the white space of the work flow diagram and choose Connect External Sources to Data Links;
Simon.
Is there a reason you wouldn’t use the template function for the individual model
Stupidity? I searched the manual only in the model section. THX for the hint. BTW, it’s amazing that the template of the model (not the entire workflow) ia 27MB, whereas the entire project only 6MB…
Wow - sounds like an amazing model - is to do with the euro crisis and whether to convert all your euro savings to Philharmonikas!? Actually I think the reason is that templates are not compressed but projects are. i.e. if you zipped a WNLT, then it would probably compress a lot, I believe, there is an open qc entry somewhere about also compressing templates automatically Simon.
Hi Simon!
Wow - sounds like an amazing model
Hhm, doesn’t look complicated to me - how large are yours?
is to do with the euro crisis and whether to convert all your euro savings to Philharmonikas!?
Hey, too late - should have told me that 15 years ago!
Actually I think the reason is that templates are not compressed but projects are. i.e. if you zipped a WNLT, then it would probably compress a lot
Correct. It zipped to 3.4% (!) of its original size. What’s in there - hot air? Sneeked in with a hex-viewer - sooo many zeros.
