Simulations using Phoenix

Attached is a document describing how to do simulations using PHX. It addresses individual simulations (also available in PHX WNL) and population simulations (PHX NLME). Most of this information is in the user’s guide but it is found in different sections. This document is easy to read and in hope that some users might find it helpful. Dear ahenry, Thanks for the document!. Could you provide in addition a manual how to open it? KR, Joachim

Hi Joachim! If you have an ‘older’ version of Office (like me: Office 2000), get the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack.

Dear Helmut, There is unfortunately no docx file. It’s an zip-file which after extraction shows one file [content_Types].xml and three folders (containig these files): [_rels] (.rels) [docProps] (app.xml; core.xml) [word] (document.xml; fontTable.xml; settings.xml; styles.xml; webSettings.xml and four additional folders) The file document.xml in the word folder seems to contain the document, it starts: “Simulations Phoenix can perform individual and Monte Carlo population PKPD simulations. This is useful for situations where modelers have PKPD parameter estimates from prior modeling and want to explore the potential impact of modifying certain conditions such as dosing regimens without having to collect more data. Simulations are based on the structural model and its parameter estimates.” but it’s really hard to read: -

Hi Joachim! Are you using M$ IE? If yes, save the file to any location and rename it from ‘Simulations_Final.zip’ to ‘Simulations_Final.docx’ (don’t unzip it). Let’s see. PS. Standard compliant browsers (FireFox, SeaMonkey, Chrome) don’t have this issue.

Thanks a lot! How easy life can be …

here is a PDF also if that helps other users. Simon
