Hey Guys, Just a quick question! So i have carried out a simulation using a model and i am looking at my secondary parameters AUC in particular…Is value this AUC to infinity? or is it AUC to the last time point? as the description just states ‘AUC’?! Any answers appreciated Danielle
Hi Danielle, The AUC is calculated in the PK models as a secondary parameters. The formula is dose/volume/k10. For interpretation purposes, this represents the AUCinf for the first dose. I you want to calculate for partial areas, you can use the NCA tool from WInNonLin: 1. Run your PK simulations. Save the output workbook. 2. Browse to the Predicted Data tab of the output workbook. This contains all of your simulated timepoints (1000 by default) from the PK model. 3. Send the data from the Predicted Data tab to NCA. Specify partial area calculations as desired.
