Units in Pheonix Modeling

Dear Experts, When using pheonix to model data, I have found that sometimes the units in the “theta” results worksheet does not always come out right. How do you specify units in pheonix modeling? I know that you can use the “units builder” to specify units for your data columns, but how do you specify units for the dose and primary parameters? I know that you can specify units for dose when performing NCA, but how do you do that when doing pheonix modeling? I did not see a place to put in units under the dosing worksheet. Thanks a lot!

Hi Jiexin, At this time there is no specific unit handling in the Phoenix model, so it’s important to supply the right input units and if necessary resolve units at the end of the modelling. As you’ve already noticed there is nowhere to enter dose units if you use internal worksheet in a Phoenix model so either create a worksheet in the Data folder or use the option to “publish source” your current dosing sheet to the data folder; and then add the units to that. I would, regardless of model engine being used, recommend to standardise to a common mass unit e.g. if conc units are ug/mL and dose was 10 mg then enter as 10 000ug and let the engine carry the units through. You can always post-process the theta sheet using a Column Properties object afterwards (found in Data WIzard from 6.3 onwards). Simon.
