Is anyone at Pharsight aware of this issue? When I spread an NLME job across multiple cores and decide I’d like to kill the job, the job will stop running on Phoenix and become unlocked, but in the task manager the processes are still running and will do so until manually killed. I did not notice this bug previously, however I have since migrated to 64 bit Win7 and know that when conducting a 64 bit install there are some hoops to jump through for getting the MPI to run on Win7-64. Include an image of the problem. Thanks! [file name=NLME_bug.jpg size=247537]Certara | Drug Development Solutions
Thank you for reporting this issue. It has been reported previously and has been fixed for the next release of Phoenix. If you want to track it in the Release Notes, it is QC 12079, “If a user cancels an MPI run, one or more MPI processes are left running”. Regards, Linda Hughes
The version of Phoenix NLME that has this fix will be 1.3 (a component of Phoenix 1.4) that will be released this summer, 2014.
