How to calculate (cumulative) amount excreted in Phoenix WNL 6.3 ?

Dear readers,

I would like to know how I can calculate the amount excreted (in urine) + cumulative amount excreted in Phoenix WNL. I cannot find it ?

Hi, Assuming you’re using the NCA tool for analysis this is very simple;

the total amount excreted is presented as “amount recovered” in the final parameters table

(you can rename them using ’ Parameter names’ in the Setup tab if you want.)

and cumulative amount excreted in Phoenix WNL. you can find in the Summary table.

the only confusion I sometimes come across is people aren’t expecting the output for each time collection interval to be reported at the mid point.

Thank you Simon, you are correct, calculating the total (cumulative) amount excreted is indeed simple then. However, how can I calculate the amount excreted per time interval ?

HI Coja,

It’s not actually necessary to ‘Quote’ the whole message; you can simply use the ‘reply to this topic’ box at the bottom of the page. If you do quote consider editing it the quoted text so only the relevant part to your next point or question is kept.

Regarding the your request to calculate “amount excreted per time interval” that is not generated in the NCA tool, however it is very easy to send your raw data sheet to a Data WIzard and select a transform to use the formula; urine_volume*conc like so;

If you need to, you can merge that afterwards into the NCA’s Summary Table to see the Cumulative AUC alongside.
